Yesterday as I was driving back down Seedhouse Road (one of several gateways to the Zirkel Wilderness just outside of Steamboat Springs), I got a little glimpse of a canyon in the Elk River that I hadn’t noticed before (at least enough to stop and take a closer look). I climbed down into the canyon a bit and got this great view of a small (3-4 foot) waterfall up river from me. I used a circular polarizer to bring out the detail on those rocks. Since the sun had just set, I had a long enough exposure to get that blur effect on the water while also not having to worry about seeing to far through the water (due to the polarizer).
